The best way to prevent this from happening is by applying a sealcoating to your asphalt to extend it’s life span. Keep reading to find out why it’s essential that you get asphalt sealcoated.

It improves aesthetics

By applying a smooth coat to asphalt, it becomes smoother and far more visually appealing. This is great for driveways and parking lots, as vastly improves the appearance of your property. Many landlords apply a coat once a year just to make it look ‘brand new’, as often the asphalt is the first thing you notice as you approach a property. If the land around your house isn’t maintained, then people may develop perceptions of the appearance of the interior. You can void this by filling in all the cracked asphalt and to give it that ‘freshly laid’ look.

It’s recommended that the sealcoat is reapplied every two years to prevent the elements from deteriorating your asphalt. At a fraction of the cost of re-laying the blacktop, it’s amazingly cost-effective.
